Woman dies ignored on hospital waiting room floor

According to an article on CNN.com, a woman was left dying on the floor of a psychiatric emergency room in a Brooklyn, New York hospital on June 19th. To make matters worse, there were people nearby, and they all ignored her.

And that’s not all. It took full hour after she fell still on the floor before anyone realized what was happening, and tried to help. The woman was merely a young 49-year-old.

Needless to say, several staffers were fired as a result. The lawsuit for the case alleges neglect and abuse of mental health patients at the Kings County Hospital facility.
