Ryen Hauck had never taken a CPR course, but that didn’t stop her from doing compressions for at least seven minutes after calling 911.

She found Nicholas Smith, her fiancé, face down and he didn’t have a pulse. She quickly called 911 to activate emergency medical services, and began doing chest compressions.

“I’m just glad that I came back as me,” Nicholas said. “That seven minutes of CPR she gave was the most critical. If it wasn’t for her being there, I wouldn’t be standing here today.”

“It was definitely a miracle,” Hauck exclaimed.

Take a look at our Hands-Only CPR training videos to learn more about it.
