CPR is a very important and life-saving skill. This is something that is reinforced whenever someone in the media passes away suddenly.

This afternoon we lost Tim Russert, NBC News Washington bureau chief and “Meet the Press” moderator. He collapsed of a heart attack while doing voiceovers for “Meet the Press” at NBC’s Washington bureau.

“This news division will not be the same without his strong, clear voice,” former NBC News anchor Tom Brokaw said Friday afternoon in a special report shortly after 3:30 p.m. announcing the death. “He’ll be missed as he was loved, greatly.”

Just a simple reminder that learning what to do in a time of emergency is a very vital and important thing to do.
