iRescueRadio is releasing a Christmas safety special this week, covering everything from safely decorating your house, to the dangers of ice skates, and more. This podcast aims to prepare listeners to know what to do in a holiday emergency.

Grand Rapids, Michigan (PRWEB) December 16, 2008 — iRescueRadio is a new podcast that provides a look at medical, health and rescue related news for the past week in a humorous format that is far from sterile. Join Roy, Jody and Dan for this year’s Christmas safety episode. Both humorous and informational, it entertains while training you to be a little safer during this holiday season.  Health and safety should always be at the forefront of your mind, but so many accidents happen during the Christmas season that it is important to be mindful of the things that can go wrong if you are not careful.

A weekly podcast running approximately 45 minutes in length, iRescueRadio is available for free online at or you can subscribe on iTunes by visiting the iTunes store and searching for the keyword “iRescueRadio.” The show features an EMT, a paramedic and an “average joe,” who discuss topical health and medical news, breakthroughs and rescues, from around the world. Episodes also occasionally feature guests who bring an expert opinion to the discussion.

A Podcast is a series of recordings, similar to talk radio, but in a format that listeners can download on demand to their MP3 player or a computer using media player software. Although Podcasts originally got their name from the Apple iPod, Podcasts are not limited to only this device. Anyone with an Internet connection and computer speakers can listen to a Podcast.
