CPR in AmericaWGVU and ProCPR are proud to present a special episode of Family Health Matters on the life-saving skill of compression only (commonly referred to as hands-only) CPR. The program will air on WGVU (PBS) on Sunday, October 18 from 3pm-4:30pm. For those in the viewing area (most of the West side of the state of Michigan), Family Health Matters will be on channels 35.1 and 52.1. After the program airs, a panel discussion will follow. ProTrainings.com is the Exclusive Program Sponsor.

Here’s a little about the program: Each year, more than 326,000 out-of-hospital cardiac arrests occur in the United States, and 90% of those people die. Survival rates can double or triple if the victim receives CPR right away. Yet, 70% of Americans feel helpless to act during a cardiac emergency because they don’t know how to administer CPR or they’re afraid of hurting the victim. CPR in America will teach as many people as possible the life-saving skill of Hands-Only CPR.
