My cousin is a police officer. He just got a new German Shepherd as a partner, and is now part of the K9 unit. But what do you do if your dog needs CPR?

A veterinarian took some time to teach a group of deputies how to perform CPR on their dogs should they require it. They practiced first on a stuffed animal, and then on real dogs. The dogs come into contact with dangerous individuals and other dangerous situations on a regular basis, but now the officers are better prepared to help their dogs in a time of emergency.

Learning Pet First Aid could help you out as well. Stay tuned!
