Addicted to the Internet and need a Solution?

Keep Me Out!One of the side effects of the internet’s rampant growth over the last few years is the fact that we are prone to become addicted to it.  Sites like MySpace, Facebook and Twitter have a way of taking hours from your day.  If you have been looking for a solution to the addiction, or at least some help, there is a site that was created with that in mind.

If you’ve got a problem with productivity on the job, or getting things done around the house, and it is because of websites that you find yourself visiting too frequently, this website can help, if you’re motivated enough to use it.

The website is KeepMeOut.com, and it’s there to make sure that you don’t continuously use the websites any more often than you want to.

How it works is very simple.  You put in the website that you find yourself visiting more often than you’d like to, and then you put in the length of time you’d like to keep yourself from visiting the website.  You then give yourself the option of whether or not you want to link the website on the warning page that the site gives you when you try visiting again.

The next part is probably the most difficult part, as you have to bookmark the link that they give you, and only use that bookmark to visit the website.  It’s probably best if you simply replace your current bookmark with that one, so that you take away the possibility of cheating it.

It’s pretty simple, but very effective if you are looking for that added motivation.

I know it’s a break from our usual stories, but addiction can be really harmful to your health.
